Butterfly Card

I found a card very similar to this on the crafty turtle's blog and I cased it. I needed something that was pretty, quick and easy. I added my own touches and this was the result. The butterfly was stamped on a rainbow pad and then cut out and creased so that the wings look like they are in flight. The lower half of the card is the result of a cuttle bug embossing folder. The upper half is a decorative paper. A sentiment stamp from Stampin up! has been stamped on white card stock and applied over the decorative paper. The center strip was punched on a Fiskar border punch and applied over the butt joint of the decorative paper and embossed paper. All of this was applied to the front of a pastel pink 4.25 x 5.5 inch card and voila a simple summer card! Thanks Crafty Turtle for the inspiration! We'll be making this one for the card ministry for sure!

What a beautiful card. AS a new stamper I have many questions. These cards are beautiful but are thicker than a normal letter. Can these be mailed using a first class stamp?

Yes, this card only takes a first class stamp. In fact you could mail two in the same envelope with a first class stamp.
