Diamond Shaped Bling!

Today is a jewelry day. This pair of earrings are some of my favorites because they are unusual and sparkly! The photo does not do these justice because it is really difficult to photograph clear beads with facets. The wire work was formed on a jig and uses a single length of wire to form the entire earring. It is a little tricky to do but well worth the effort. The bead is by swarovski and looks great with a pair of jeans or something a bit dressy. I so love jewelry with versatility! What do you think?

Blue Harvest Home

As promised, here is another card made with the Stampin' Up! Harvest Home stamp set. In fact the entire card is made with Stampin' Up! materials except for the blue Offray Ribbon. I like this card better than the orange and black card in the last post. It is a bit easier on the eye don't you think? It was done pretty much like the last one but opens from the side and has garden green with brocade blue card stock. Which one do you like best?

Ode to Summer

Even though it is the end of September, we have continued to have warm weather. I found this image that I had colored but had not yet used. I thought I would make this card as a last hurrah to the summer of 2008. The box fan reminds me of the fans we had growing up. They were about this color too! I'm about to be nostalgic.... The lemonade, Popsicles and puddles have Crystal Effects on them so they shine like real liquid. I wish you could see it because it really makes the image pop. I tried numerous times but the shine just wouldn't show up on the photo to do it justice.
Check out those Popsicle mustaches I gave the mice. Too Cute! What do you think?

Here is the recipe:
House Mouse Stamp
SU Wild Hearts background Stamp
SU In the Spotlight Stamp Set
SU Totally Tabs Stamp Set
SU Round Tab Punch
SU Watercolor Pencils
SU Pink Passion Ink
SU Pretty In Pink Ink
Black Stazon ink
SU Elegant Eggplant Card Stock
SU White CS
SU Naturals White CS
SU Pixie Pink CS
Pink Stripe paper
SU Crystal Effects

Fall Pumpkins

I am pleased with the way this card tuned out. I enjoyed the creative process on this one because it came together easily. All of the materials used are from Stampin' Up! except for the fall letters which are Anna Griffin. Here is what I used.

Crystal effects on the squash
Watercolor crayons-Earth Elements and Soft Subtles
Markers-Glorious Green and Green Galore
Vanilla card stock
Naturals Ivory card stock
Certainly Celery card stock
Close to Cocoa card stock
Pumpkin Card Stock
Prints pack designer paper- Wild Wasabi, Apricot Appeal
Autumn Harvest Stamp Set
Touch of Nature Stamp Set
Happy Harmony Stamp Set
Fanciful Alphabet- Anna Griffin
Stampin' Dimensionals
1 3/8" round punch
Scallop Circle Punch
Ticket Corner Punch
Photo Corners Punch
Creamy Caramel Ink
Garden Green Ink
Stazon brown or black

This is how I began with the watercolor crayons using Really rust and pumpkin. Next I used an aqua painter to blend the color.
After this dried, I added green streaks and blended with the aqua painter once again. I hope you enjoy and please feel free to ask any questions.

Old Fashioned meets modern

I hope you don't mind seeing so many 3 tier dangle earrings but a lot of people like to buy this type so I tend to make gobs of them. How much is a gob? Just think lots and lots! This pair has a sterling silver cap bead at the top and the center bead is a millifiori type bead. Who can resist the light blue tear drop dangling at the bottom. The movement is great on these and they are great to dress up or casual enough to go with a pair of jeans. Enjoy!

Flat and Happy

Are you shocked to see another pair of earrings today? Since school has started, I have time to work on jewelry while I wait on my daughter during conditioning and the other myriad of things she stays after school to do. I bought these flat beads while on a trip this summer. I really like the way things turned out. Do you? I am gearing up for fall sales. Several of our Relay for Life team sells my jewelry as a way to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Enjoy!

Cherries anyone!

Hello all! Don't have a heart attack because I have finally made some new jewelry! I was at a friends house and browsed through some of her jewelry magazines and saw these. I don't remember which magazine or issue that they were in but I had to make some for myself. Aren't these cute! They were so quick and easy to put together. If you like them, let me hear from you!
