2. Contact them and let them know you have chosen them and their blog for the award
3. Link back to the person who gave you the award

Christmas Door Swag

Since I have not had much time to paper craft lately, I thought I would show you what I have been doing. I put this swag together for my Mom. She bought the pieces and parts and I did the design. It is simple but still elegant and goes well with the farmhouse.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be moving over the next few weeks and I dread it! There are so many things to pack and move even though it is only going a few miles away. We have too much stuff. The paper crafting supplies alone take up so much space! Then it all has to be unpacked and organized on the other end. Whew! Just bear with me over the next month while I pull my hair out!

Merry Christmas Cookie Exchange 2008

I just wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas! I hope you are able to spend this day with family and friends remembering and being thankful for the birth of Christ! I must confess that Christmas and Easter are the two most favorite holidays that I enjoy celebrating. Which one is your favorite?
This photo is of the first annual Christmas cookie/candy exchange that was held last Sunday at our house. Not everyone made it in the photo because I forgot to take pictures and some folks left for other commitments but at least I have this shot. I have been wanting to have a cookie exchange for the past two years and finally was able to pull it together. Maybe next year I can do this event and a Christmas tea if I plan ahead. I so love hosting tea parties and this house is the perfect back drop.
Well it is time to cook Christmas dinner!

Black and White Challenge

I made this card for our blog group challenge that Sue gave us. She wanted us to make a black and white card. I immediately thought of this Grand Soiree stamp set that I recently purchased. I thought this stamp set from Stampin' Up! would be perfect for inviting folks over to this old house for tea or dinner. I am pleased with the results. Thanks Sue for the challenge! Here are the supplies I used.

Christmas

Guess what? I finally felt up to stamping yesterday and I completed the black and white challenge for our blog group but here's the thing. I left my camera at our other house. I took it over there to take some photos before we move in. Yes, that's right the floors are finally finished and we are cleaning woodwork and moving some things in. It is going to take some time because I can't stand too many hours at any given time yet but we are making some progress. Anyway, since I can't take a photo of my card, I'll share some more tag photos.

I wish I could tell you all about this little tag but the creator did not include the information in the swap. I thought it was nice enough to share so I'll tell you what I do know about the supplies used besides the fact that it is made with Stampin' Up! products.
Stamp set- Cardinal Christmas, Canvas background
CS- Holiday Treasures, Ruby Red, Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Watercolor paper, Close to cocoa
Ink- Black Stazon, Chocolate Chip

Christmas Tag Swap

I just received the tags from one of the swaps I participated in and wanted to share some of them with you over the next few posts. These are tags made with Stampin' Up! materials. This particular tag is one of my favorites but it arrived without any information. I don't know who stamped it so cannot give credit where it is due. The stamp sets used was Winter Post. The scallop square punch, designer label punch and top note die were also used to make this old world tag.

This tag was created by Daphne Laswell. Isn't it a cutie? Here is some of the info she supplied us with. Fresh Cuts stamp set was used with real red, blush blossom, basic black and whisper white card stock. She used the 1 inch, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4 inch circle punches and a paper crimper to create this little santa. This is a really creative way to use punches and I certainly would not have thought of it on my own. Thanks for looking!
