For the Love of Hearts

I just wanted to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day even if it is a day late! My spouse and I went out for a special candle light dinner. Really! It has been ages since we actually planned an evening to ourselves. The shock still hasn't worn off.
I also wanted to thank the new folks who have subscribed to my blog recently. Welcome! It's amazing, I quit blogging for over a month and people start reading my blog. Is there a hidden message there??? Hmm...... I wonder.
These are more Anna Griffin inspired cards. Using Stampin' Up! Really Red and Vanilla card stock with Anna Griffin paper and stamps. The border punch is from Fiskar and I think the scissors were too. The card in the foreground has those tiny little hearts from the punch glued in the corners of the lattice work. It took some time to do that without getting glue on everything. What was I thinking! It's cute but took a lot of time with tweezers to get it right. The red frame is stamped and embossed with red embossing powder and looks great with the red card stock.
Thanks for reading and Happy Stamping!

Valentine Love

Don't faint or anything but I am finally getting my act together after moving most of our belongings to the new house. I wish I could tell you that I am well prepared for the upcoming holiday but I am not. I just moved part of my stamping supplies yesterday and have not unpacked anything yet. I'm just itching to get going with stamping again.
This card is one from two years ago that I never posted so I am doing it now before the holiday is over. It is classic Anna Griffin design as well as the paper. I pulled the design from one of Anna's books. I am not certain which one and can't look it up because..... you guessed it, most of our books are still packed. The front of the card is woven and took a bit of time but it did turn out to be a great looking card. I used the templates provided to cut out the heart shapes and then used the old scallop scissors to edge the card. The sentiment is an Anna Griffin stamp also and the ribbon I picked up at the craft store. Happy stamping!
