Victorian sneak peek!

I have a couple of before and after photos to show you of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the front of our house. The first photo was taken June or July of 2009 and the second photo was taken in December of 2007 as we were purchasing this old house. The photos were taken from a bit of a different angle but you get the jist of what we started with and what we will end up with. This really is the same house. It just looks a lot different when you showcase the wonderful wood work and the struck mortar on that large gable. In a few weeks I'll reveal a photo of the entire front of the house. The front porch is really looking wonderful! In fact, my contractors tell me that the city trash collectors came close to breaking their necks last friday doing a double take as they collected the trash!

Butterfly Thank You

I made these thank you cards for Libby and for Dorothy. The pinks and robin's egg blue paired nicely together for this botanical card. It's time to whip out the stamp positioner for the back ground of this card! It was so simple to create and it turned out quite well if I do say so myself! Everything but the ribbon and some of the card stock were from SU! The thank you message stamp was created to fit the SU! oval punch so these were a cinch to make.
I got a bit fancy while I stamped the envelopes to match the cards and created a belly band to slip over the cards. It's like putting on a party dress to go to the big dance. They were dressed up since I was giving them as a gift.

Pastel August

Hello all! I was getting tired of the A2 format for birthday cards. I decided to switch things up a bit and created this card that fits perfectly into a standard letter envelope. I stamped and colored the images using ink pads as my watercolor paint using an aqua painter. I sponged the edge of these images and created shine by using Crystal Effects. I also used CE on the cuttlebug decorative corner die cuts. Then I used the SU! photo corner punch to jazz things up a bit and placed stickle dots on the two outside corners. The oval die cut is from the oval sizzix frame and the decorative rectangle is a nestabilities die. Simple, fast and a bit different!

Blue Anemone

I didn't know if I should post a photo of this card showing all of the shine and then figured, girls love glitz so shine on! I stamped the image and embossed with silver detail embossing powder. Next I whipped out my twinkling H2Os and went to town. I created layers using nestabilities die cuts and added a bit of piercing. This was the end result for a beautiful birthday card. If you have any questions, just ask!

special Birthday take 2

Well I am going back to the old fashion way of uploading photos so I think that should take care of the photo issue. This card was made from Anna Griffin and Stampin' Up! with a Cuttlebug embossing folder tossed in for good measure. The image was colored with watercolor pencils and crayons. Sponging was done with SU! Old Olive ink. I pray that you have a terrific and blessed day!

Special Birthday

Well Blogger is still dorked up so I am going to have to contact them about a problem that they think is cleared up but isn't. Really frustrated right now because I have written several posts and the photos vanish after they have been uploaded from picasa to blogger when I use the spell check. My signature also gets dorked up!!!! Let me know if any of you have experienced this problem. I think I have found a way around the problem but it requires some extra work. Let's see if this post makes it or if the photo vanishes. This card was made from Anna Griffin and Stampin' Up! with a Cuttlebug embossing folder tossed in for good measure.
