I have used the North Coast Creations Sail away stamp set and heat embossed the images with black embossing powder. I paired it with the new Our Daily Bread Vintage Ephemera papers to make this masculine card. I just added ODBD die cuts using the Pennants Dies, Antique Labels and Borders, Elegant Ovals and  Faithful Fish Pattern Die. Check out the materials list below for links to these products!!!
I combined both of the new stamp sets to make this Double Display card.  I took a piece of 6"x11" glossy card stock and stamped the boat image with gray ink. I masked off the clouds and sun  so that I could make the sky much larger.  Then I inked the water sections of the stamp and created the lake. I used the ground stamp from the Deer Silhouette Greeting and formed the landscape. I then inked just the top portion of the tree stamp and created the low shrubbery. The trees were then created and I inked the leaf portion of the stamp to fill in and make some trees larger and fuller.  I tucked in the two deer and then used a Colorbox stylus tool to streak in the sky. I inked some of the birds from the boat stamp and added extra birds in the sky. I bit of green was added to the trees and then the highlights were added with a gel pen. The scene was set aside to dry while I stamped the sentiment. I sprayed the scene with a clear coat to bring up the colors and preserve the gel pen highlighting from rubbing off. I then sponged the front of the card with aqua ink and began cutting the scene apart and mounting it on Tempting Turquoise card stock. I mounted all of the pieces to the card base and added the sentiment.

Now it's time to check out what the other girls have made for you along with the NCC Blog

Please do not post on Flicker as many of us do not have the ability to comment on your cards nor can we spotlight your cards on the blog.

This is a simple 5x7 card project! I used the circle dies and cut a out the center. I used the new Fancy Fritillary Dies and mounted the  die cuts to the inside of the card. The wings lift up through the card. A bit of gold bling finished that off nicely. I worked on the foliage next. I added green skeletonized leaves as a base and colored white card stock with the alcohol markers. I placed my flowers and foliage. It needed a lttle something so I dabbed on some glitter. Next came the small butterflies and the bee. They turned out so well that they blend right with the paper. I embossed three butterflies and colored with water based markers. I stamped one bee and colored it yellow. I placed it in the top of the red flowers and his top wing is bent up so he really looks like he is in flight.  So simple and easy!!!
Here you can see the butterflies and bee wings are truly 3D
Now head over to see what the other design team members have made for you and get inspired!  Please join us for the challenge! I look forward to seeing what you make!!!

I just love all of the little pics that we have to choose from for our inspiration!! The bottom right pic is a bee on a thistle blossom and that reminded me of the Bee Balm Flower stamp that I have. Hang on for a minute while I put on my Horticulture cap.....okay, I'm back. I'm a realist and I tend to color flowers in the color pallet we have in real life. Monarda didyma, latin for bee balm comes in an array of reds, pinks, lavender and white, with the most common being red. Well just set the gears in motion to use these sweet little ladybugs and bee stamps. The red ladybugs and red Monarda (in my mind) were destined to be together on this card!
I began by coloring my stamp with water based markers and used the Huffing Technique to stamp the image.  Not familiar with that technique? Just google it to find an instruction video. I did a little coloring on the image and then added in a few fine shadow and vein lines. As you can see, I did not totally color in the blossoms. That gave me added dimension. I just used a variety of green and red markers so that it has a bit of shading. The bugs were embossed with black embossing powder and lightly colored with alcohol markers. Under the sentiment, I made loops with ribbon and then glued it down from the side instead of the top.  It's all pretty simple and made a sweet card!

Now it's time to make your way to see what the other gals have made for you today!

Spring Window ODBDSLC238

Today is sketch challenge day at Our Daily Bread Designs and what a pretty design we have today!

As you can see, I kept pretty close to the original sketch and shapes. I just added a few extra layers. The morning glory stamp is from a set called Glory and I just layered the bird and branch beneath it. I used two of the five dies from the Layered Lacey Squares set. I think the lattice look of the sentiment die cut works well with the garden theme here and that little butterfly is just perfect too!!! The Large Square Die cut is white and I used a marker to color the field light blue as if it were the sky.

There are so many people I know right now who are struggling with cancer and other maladies. They need a little pick me up and a get well card isn't the right choice. This will go into my stash for just that sort of need!

That's about it for me. Click o the links below if you need more information about the ODBD products that I used. Now hurry along and see what my sister breadsticks have created for you today!

This one is pretty straight forward! If you have any questions, please ask. The only little trick on this one was tucking the egg shape up into the oval so it made a fairly even border around 3/4 or so of the shape. The oval hangs down longer at the bottom. Additional die cuts were added to help camouflage this. That's about all have for you today. Come on and join the fun with our challenge!!

These are the new release items that I used and I just love them both!!!!! Yes, you can expect to see me use these again very soon! The sweet little birds are hard to resist and the flower dies are just the perfect size and shape to use over and over again on my card fronts!!!
