This sweet little card measures 4 3/4 inches square! I have added a materials list and step by step directions below. You can find the Our Daily Bread Products by clicking on the links in the materials list.

Now go check out what the other breadsticks have made for your enjoyment today!

Directions
1. Color the main image and shade with alcohol markers. (I usually do my coloring the day before I assemble my card.)
2. Color the teacup handle with the silver paint pen.
3. Apply Glossy Accents to the teacup and saucer portions only. Not on the flowers except for the band on the cup itself.  Allow to dry completely.
4. Using the Memento ink, stamp the teacup image on smooth white card stock. Stamp the happy birthday and enjoy your day! on smooth Aloe card stock.
5.  Cut the card base out of Bristol paper. The measurements are 4 1/4  x 8 1/2 inches and I scored at        2 1/4 and again at 4 1/4 inches.
6. Cut a piece of white card stock 4 1/4 x 6 1/2 and emboss it. Cut a 4 1/4 square from this.
7. Line the back edges with extra sticky 1/4 inch double sided tape and add 1/4 inche gathered lace. Pleat each corner of the lace on a 45 degree angle to make the corners.
8. Cut another piece of white card 4 1/4 square and attach to the back so that it looks finished.
9. Line the front edge of this piece with a strip of  half back pearls that measure about 4 mm around.
10. Die cut a doily with Pink Pirouetts paper.
11. Die cut the outside doily shape  and the in Aloe. Die cut the sentiments using the Mini Tags Dies and the Recipe and Tags Dies.
12. Die cut the flower shapes and leaves in white card stock.
13. Sponge Aqua ink on the base flower, Outside doily shape, mini tag and recipe tag. I use the small round sponging tool by Tim Holtz.
14. Cut out the teacup image.
15. Glue the two doily pieces together and mount the main image on this with dimensional foam.
16. Apply dimensional foam to the back of the doily and center this on the embossed square.
17. Apply this square to the card front. (For an Easel card, you add glue to your card base on the first section from 0 to the first score line at 2 1/4 inches.)
18. Cut the remaining embossed card stock to 4 x 2 3/8 inches and apply to the bottom of the inside           (of the card).
19. Assemble the flower and leaf pieces with dots of glue. Add a thick dot of glitter glue to the center       of the flower.  Set aside to dry.
20. Make a small bow out of two strands of silver cording and glue to the top of the small sentiment         tag.
21. Add tag with bow to the front right lower corner of the card.
22. Add the flower to the larger tag.
23. Add dimensional foam to the back of this tag and center it to the embossed card on the inside.
24. Fluff the paper flower for added dimension and set the card up.
25. Enjoy!

ODBDSLC243 Inspiration challenge Father's Day

Our inspiration challenge this week centers around Father's Day! This is my take on the challenge. Before I tell you about it, let's get the challenge details and prize info out of the way!

To see all the projects created for ODBDSLC243 or to join the challenge click here. You have until June 21, 2015 at 8:00pm EDT to join us. By participating in the challenge, you have a chance to win a  $15 ODBD Gift Certificate good towards the purchase of stamps in the “stamps column” on the ODBD website, or to be spotlighted on the ODBD Blog at our next challenge. The random prize winner will be posted on our next challenge post. Please do not post on Flicker as many of us do not have the ability to comment on your cards nor can we spotlight your cards on the blog.

I am also entering this in the Splitcoaststampers Technique Lovers Challenge TLC538. The theme is Look Into My Window.

I think this photo inspired most of the challenge team to use our new Sunburst Background Dies!!! I have been amazed at how many different ways the ODBD Design Teams have been using this die!!! They are just so creative and I have been wowed!!!

I began my project by cutting the sunburst on glossy card stock and then sponging different shades of ink to color the die cut. I sprayed it with a clear coat of sealer and began my search for the landscape. I settled on this pond and woodland scene from ODBD With Deepest Sympathy stamp set and the use of theWindow Dies. I colored the image with alcohol markers and cut away the sky so that I could stack the image on the sunburst. I place the window over the stack and it looked great but I wanted more depth. I took the cattails stamp from the ODBD With Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set and added another layer to the picture. There are the small cattail in the distance of the main image and then I used the larger cattail up close to the window. I used dimensional foam to help give me the depth.
Once I had the layered window together, I whipped out the new ODBD Vintage Ephemera Collection Papers because they are perfect for masculine cards!  I then stamped out the sentiment with the ODBD World's Greatest stamp set and layered it on top of a banner that I folded. I cut a strip the width of the small fishtail banner and placed that die on each end of the strip. I only wanted to cut  just the fishtail portion of the die while leaving a long strip that I could fold. I used dimensional tape between the folds of the banner for added depth and layered a border under it from the ODBD Antique Labels and Border Dies. Next came a bit of sponging for contrast and a couple of vintage brads. Then I mounted it all onto a 96# Bristol paper card base.
I used the paper collection on the inside too! Nothing fancy, it's just enough to finish things off nicely. I layered up several of the papers and even used the negative of the Antique Labels and Border die which I had used on the front.  Yes, I used the scraps! The center medallion was made by stamping the Crocheted Circle Plain Stamp on the dotted paper from the collection and was cut with the matching die. I then took a sentiment from the Life is a Gift Stamp Set and cut it out using the smallest circle from the ODBD Circle Ornaments Dies. I thought this made the perfect sentiment for a Father's Day card!!! I layered those two pieces together to finish off the inside.
Check out the pics below or the links in the materials list for more information about the Our Daily Bread Designs products.

Now go check out the other beauties that the ODBD Challenge team has made for you!!!  I hope you will choose to play along with the challenge! I can't wait to see all of your creations!!!

The new Vintage Ephemera paper was the inspiration for this vintage card and the Birdcage and Banner stamp set made it so easy to design for this sketch challenge. I'm sure that I will be reaching for it over and over again!!!

SLC241 Dad's Tool Cabinet

Wait till you see it as an easel card with the all of the other tools and gift card holder!!
Welcome to another ODBD Challenge. We have a color challenge this week for you to play along with!  But first, let's get to the challenge details!!!!
To see all the projects created for ODBDSLC241 or to join the challenge click here. You have until June 7, 2015 at 8:00pm EDT to join us.
This is a great masculine card as you see it here but wait and see just how interactive it is!!! I made a wall cabinet that opens up. I cut the pegboard in half for the front. The handles of the cabinet are made from the pegboard hooks die and I just snipped off the cross pieces. My husband showed me a woodworking catalog that actually had a cabinet like this so I just went with it and mounted it on a gray brick wall! Below is a picture with the cabinet open. But there is still more to see!!!

I added a gift card holder pocket which I made with silver card stock. I embossed it to look like a shiny chrome tool box.
Here is the picture with the card set up and displayed. It's an easel card and perfect for Dad!!!! The card measures 4.25x5.5 inches and the front is creased at the halfway point and the front panel attaches to the lower half of the front so that it can stand up as an easel.  I used the wood grain paper so that it looked like a work bench top. I hope this inspires you to make something wonderful with the new stamps and dies!!!
