I know the embossing looks clear but in real life, it is a white pearlized embossing powder and so elegant with the Belles Vignes background stamp!!! I layered the pale blue, pink and embossed grey papers together and then decided to add the Leafy Edged Border to the corner. I liked the way it turned out and added the die cut fleur de lis to the corner. These new dies are so spectacular to work with and I am just amazed at how many types of flowers can be made with the Pretty Posies dies!

Now check out what my sister breadsticks have in store for you today and get to creating!!!  I can't wait to see what you make!!!!

ODBD Sept. Mid Month Look Back

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs September Mid Month Release, here is the card I created using the new Beauty stamp set. Check out the new dies too!!! They are fabulous!
BEAUTY
I was scanning pinterest the other day and pinned a bunch of cards to my "cards" board.  One of those cards had this basic layout that I liked a great deal, so I changed up a few things and this was the result. I used foam tape to raise up the small square panel, the doily and the flower image. I colored the lilies with alcohol markers and fussy cut it out.  The use of some satin ribbon and a few half pearls finished it off nicely. Check the materials list below for more info.
For more inspiration using the September Mid Month Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog and visit the rest of the Design Team for insight into their creations too!

There are lots of choices to choose from for your inspiration today so we should see a lot of beautiful creations from all of you!
I chose to use this Eagle stamp set for my project today!  This is a stamp set that I reach for over and over again. It makes great masculine cards and pairs nicely with the sunburst background! I cut and embossed the background. I left the die on the paper as a stencil and I sponged shades of yellow and orange. I stamped the sentiment and sponged again around the die cut. I went to work on the eagle by stamping it on smooth card stock and then using alcohol markers to color. I popped up the eagle and sentiment with foam tape after I sandwiched the background to yellow card stock. I then popped up the background onto the apricot card base.
Now go check out what the design team has in store for you today!!!!

Here is our sketch and you can see that I just turned the sketch upside down and my rectangular piece turned into the triple border across the top of my card. I needed a masculine get well card and I thought the Vintage Ephemera collection with this antique looking bottle would work quite nicely!
All I had to do was die cut the Bottle of Prayer Label and adhere it to the bottle.  I want to point out here that this label can also be reproduced with any paper selection by using the Joy in a Jar stamp set. After I colored the bottle, I covered all of it in glossy accents. The exception is the top of the cork which is sticking up out of the bottle.
On the inside,  I layered several of the papers and added a banner with scripture. The banner was already part of the paper pack and I just added the verse which I stamped on white card stock and then sponged with crumb cake ink. I used a tan colored baker's twine to hang the banner.  The sentiment came from the All Occasion Sentiments stamp set.

As you can see, I have used four of the five colors and they blend so well together. This new Under the Sea stamp set is perfect for a masculine and beach themed projects. This set is perfect for those of you who scrap and need images to go with a Sea World visit!!!
I began by stamping several images of the dolphins and I used one of the images as a stencil. I cut out where the gray ink is and sponged in some gray and black. Then I added a bit of coloring with my markers of pale grays and a dark gray. Next came the ocean and I began in the back with the dark colors. I worked my way forward with lighter shades. A quick color of the sky and some gel pen strokes on the water finished the image. Oh, I did use a bit of pink inside the dolphins mouth too. I accented the eyes with a black dot and then die cut the image with the stitched ovals. I stamped the sentiment with black ink on white card stock and die cut it with the Pennants die set. I then embossed the image and sponged the edge with the aqua ink. A few more layers of black, bulap and beach paper finished my layers. I then added a few shells finished everything off. Click on the links below for more information about the products I used from Our Daily Bread Designs.

The design team had made some very special cards for you to see!  I hope you stop by there blogs and leave them some love!!! Julie is our guest designer this month. Please make her feel welcome!

Handmade Anniversary Cards

If you are here looking for the Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge, you will find it here. Our challenge from last week is a two week challenge and still ongoing. We will be back with four new challenges for you in September, starting next Tuesday. I hope you can play along!

Today I have some simple, quick and easy Anniversary cards! I used bright silver foil card stock this first one along with some plain bright white. The nice thing about this one is that it can double as a Valentine too! I love having cards on hand that can do double duty!!!! I attached the center heart directly to the background and then raised the outside heart with double sided foam tape for some added dimension. The center of the bow is a large sequin and I glued some clear micro beads on it. You can find more information about the items I used on this in the materials list below.
Another ultra simple card here and I really like the look of the Faith, Hope and Love die cuts. I heat embossed these words twice with ultra fine silver embossing powder. They definitely have that handmade metal look!!! While I always use scripture stamps on the inside, these two card fronts were made with die cuts from Our Daily Bread Designs and no stamping. They were easy to do and great to have on hand!! Both cards measure 4 1/4 x 6 inches.  I have also used them in the Inspiration Challenge 508 at Splitcoaststampers.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
