I hope you will join me as I share projects with you! I am a paper crafting, stamping, scrapbooking, jewelry designing, basket weaving all around crafter! To tell the truth, I am addicted to card stock and designer paper. Yes, I need a twelve step program for my paper addiction! Something is created from paper and coming out of my craft room every few days. My style is a bit eclectic and I am always willing to try new things. I think I just like it all! In the end, I am always drawn towards Nature, Vintage, Shabby Chic, Victorian and most things antique.

When I am not knee deep in crafty goodness, I work on the maintenance and restoration of our old house with my husband of twenty nine years. It will be a work in progress for quite a long time. The house was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in December 2009. What an interesting and eye opening project that turned out to be. It was time consuming, educational and worth it! In my spare time, I can be found in several places. Some days I am in one of our greenhouses or the garden digging in the good earth! Other days I'm traveling to or from my daughter's college or preparing for her arrival home on a school break!
I was raised in Ohio by parents who hail from the Appalachian mountains. I am definitely a midwestern gal with southern roots! I attended The Ohio State University and hold a bachelor's degree in agriculture. My major was Crop Science. I learned how to grow plants in greenhouses and am sometimes known as the perennial queen. In the past, my greenhouses were full of all sorts of flowering perennial plants. I just love flowering plants! After a long illness, I am no longer able to take care of thousands of potted plants. These days, I grow organic vegetables/herbs in my greenhouses and out in the field. In the summer/fall you can find me canning and freezing a lot of produce. Occasionally I take on landscape design projects and use my creativity to produce eye pleasing gardens that soothe the soul!
